Opportunity Description
Applications are open for 2025-27 Erasmus+ EMJM and Consortium Scholarships for the European Master in Dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM).
DREAM is a two-year multidisciplinary master’s program focused on the dynamics and control of modern power systems. It aims to meet the European Commission’s energy and climate targets by equipping students with the skills to address the challenges of renewable energy integration and smart power systems.
The program combines expertise in power systems, smart grids, renewable generation, automatic control, and power electronics. It also offers students a holistic, system-wide understanding of next-generation power systems. Applications from these fields are encouraged, and teaching is designed to improve integrated thinking and produce specialists ready for the evolving energy sector.
DREAM was recognized as a European Programme of Excellence under Erasmus+ 2021-27. It is a joint initiative of four leading European institutions:
- École Centrale de Nantes (France)
- Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain)
- Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (Germany)
- National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (Romania)

Scholarships and Benefits
The selected candidates for the 2025-27 DREAM Master Program will benefit from the following scholarships:
- Erasmus+ EMJM Scholarships:

- Monthly stipend of €1,400 for 24 months
- Coverage of travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs
- Full tuition fee waiver
- Consortium Scholarships:

- Reduction in tuition fees for top-ranked applicants not receiving Erasmus+ scholarships:
- Program country students: €4,000 or €2,000 reduction
- Partner country students: €7,000 or €3,500 reduction
- Reduction in tuition fees for top-ranked applicants not receiving Erasmus+ scholarships:

Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility requirements for the Erasmus+ EMJM Scholarships for DREAM Master Program 2025-27:
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 180 ECTS credits in the following fields:
- Power Systems
- Smart Grids
- Renewable Generation
- Automatic Control
- Power Electronics
- The applicants’ graduation deadlines must be as follows:
- Non-European students: Before July 31, 2025
- European students: Before September 30, 2025
- Applicants must also provide the following recognized English tests:
- TOEFL (CBT 220, ITP 550, IBT 80)
- IELTS (6.5 or higher)
- Cambridge (B2 First: 173+, C1 Advanced: 160+)
- TOEIC: 800+
Notes:
- Proof of English-taught university education is an exemption.
- The residency proof must be issued within 12 months before the application deadline.

- Certified academic degrees with transcripts (translated into English)

Selection Process
The selection process is as follows:
- Application Review: Based on academic performance, field relevance, and supporting documents
- Interviews: Pre-selected candidates will participate in video interviews
- Ranking: Main list and reserve list prepared by the selection committee
- Final Selection: Based on academic and professional qualifications, with no more than 10% from the same nationality
