Objectives:
EIT Food Missions:
- Healthier Lives Through Food
- A Net Zero Food System
- Reducing Risk for a Fair & Resilient Food System
Formation and Parts:
The competition gives priority to entrepreneurial skills.
There are two choices available to participants:
- Must complete the first four modules and receive a certificate
- Or complete the first four courses and the presentation deck before entering the competition (evaluation).
You must finish these four modules, concentrating on one of the three EIT Food Missions, in order to win:
- Defining the problem: What is it, and who has it?
- What is the potential solution to the issue?
- Marketing: How can the solution be communicated?
- Finances: What will it cost and how much will it bring in?
- Assessment: Based on the four modules above, you must produce and submit four slides for this competition component.
Their first four courses will walk you through every step of creating a new idea, from figuring out what problem to tackle to finding capital for your project.
Benefits:
- There are three prizes available for each task category: €1000 for first place, €750 for second place, and €500 for third.
- The top finisher in each mission category will compete for the chance to win the EIT Food Champion reward, which entails an additional €2000.
Note: It is not possible to exchange the rewards for cash or any other kind of payment.
You will also:

- Acknowledge, nurture, and take advantage of business prospects.
- Give an example of a food system issue with a long-term fix.
- Analyze a target market to see if there is a need for a new offering.
- Put resources in order to help the market get more value.
- Make preparations in order to begin providing an innovative answer.
- Submit your concept and get feedback.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The competition is open to competitors who are eighteen years of age or older.
- Participants must complete the first four portions of the course. Section 5 of the competition requires you to create and submit four slides.
- Participants must have a valid bank account in their name at all times.
- Each submission of a concept must touch on all of these subjects and have a connection to one of the EIT Food missions.
- There can be only one entry per individual.
Selection Criteria:
Every entry will be assessed according to how well it fits into each of the four course sections and how well it contributes to the overall objectives of the chosen mission. The judges’ decision is final and binding on the law.
- What is the issue you are trying to solve, how significant is it, and who is affected by it?
- What is the purpose and mechanism of your proposed solution?
- How will you market your concept? Name, messaging, distribution methods, and engagement
- How is the financial aspect going to be handled? How much money will you need to supply the solution, and how much money do you anticipate making or saving?
