The BI Presidential Scholarship in Norway accepts applications for the 2025 academic year. The Norwegian Business School provides a fellowship for international students pursuing a master’s program at one of the top European universities.
With the top staff and teachers, Norwegian Business School has been ranked #4 among Scandinavian business schools. The European foreign scholarships are specially made for students who perform academically, pursue academic excellence in their disciplines, and pick up cutting-edge knowledge and abilities. The master’s scholarship will help students flourish in the modern world, and they shouldn’t forget that there has been an increase in employment for Norwegian Business School graduates globally. Ten scholarships will be given to Norwegian students, while twenty scholarships will be available to students from other countries. Tuition for the master’s program at the institution will be fully financed for two years. International students can benefit from the BI Presidential Master’s Scholarship by receiving a stipend to help cover their living expenses while studying in Norway. Benefits
- For two years of the master’s degree, the scholarship will cover all tuition costs for Norwegian students.
- International students will be given full tuition reimbursement for each semester of the master’s program.
- A stipend for up to two years’ worth of living expenses will be given to international students.
- The scholarships will be given out based on merit.
- Students will learn about European educational establishments.
- The European scholarship will also provide access to various job prospects.
Eligibility
- A minimum GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or equivalent top-level grade internationally is required.
- Third-year Sivøk program students are eligible to apply
- Application is also open to Norwegian, EU/EEA, and Swiss citizens.
- Non-EU/EEA citizens in Norway may be eligible (see residency requirements and include documentation).
- International applicants who moved to Norway for a bachelor’s will complete 180 ECTS in the application year.
- No study gap is allowed between bachelor’s and master’s for non-EU/EEA international applicants.
- Must be admitted to a Master of Science program at Oslo or Bergen (except BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing).
- Ineligible: Non-EU/EEA/Swiss international applicants not residing in Norway.
Selection Criteria
Note
- You may submit more than one scholarship application. However, BI Norwegian Business School will only fund one per candidate.
- Awarded scholarships are not transferable and are connected to a particular academic program at a recognized institution.
- Candidates from abroad who meet the requirements for a Lnekassen student loan in Norway (a bachelor’s degree with 180 ECTS from a Norwegian educational institution) will be regarded as domestic applicants for the BI Presidential Scholarship and will not be eligible for the stipend for living expenses.
- Candidates seeking their first master’s degree are given preference. Scholarships are not prioritized for applicants with master’s degrees already earned.
How to Apply?
- Applications for scholarships must be submitted through the online application portal (except 3rd-year Sivøk students).
- Apply for the scholarship when you apply for admission.
- Write a one-page scholarship application letter explaining why you should be considered (based on academic merit).
- Upload the letter to the ‘Scholarship’ section of your online application.
- Ensure all required documents for admission are included; your scholarship application will only be considered with a complete admission application.
- 3rd-year BI Sivøk students can apply by emailing their scholarship letter to [email protected] with the subject: “BI Presidential Scholarship Application.”
- International applicants for the BI Presidential Scholarship are automatically considered for the MSc International Scholarship (no separate letter needed).
