Opportunity Description

Asian University for Women (AUW) is now accepting international student applications for the summer intake of 2025. The University offers students financial support, including fully and partially funded scholarships. Full scholarships cover tuition, room and board, primary healthcare, course supplies, and international travel. Currently, about 85% of AUW students receive scholarship support. Transfer students are encouraged to apply to AUW.

Asian University for Women (AUW) reviews applicants’ applications, focusing on their academic excellence, personal context, and leadership potential. Moreover, students who demonstrate prior academic performance, a record of community activities, extracurricular activities, and personal statements have more chances of success.

AUW intends to attract women who show high potential and leadership skills. So, most female students at the AUW are currently studying on full scholarships, although many are paying a partial fee.

Asian University for Women (AUW) Fees

Asian University of Women charges the following fees for the students, but complete and partial scholarships and fee waivers are available to all students who have received admission and demonstrate financial need:

  • Non-refundable Admission Fee of USD 600 with a USD 200 fee waiver
  • Tuition fees of USD 9,000
  • Books, course supplies, and student activities cost USD 3,000
  • Room and board fees of USD 3,000
  • Annual Registration USD 600

The fees mentioned above are payable in two equal installments each year on 15 August and 15 December. Students receive receipts from the Finance Department for all payments. Students should keep these receipts if they require a refund in the future. The fees are payable at the following address:

Asian University for Women Scholarships and Financial Aids

AUW tries to provide financial aid and scholarships for each admitted student who has demonstrated financial need.

The University offers full and partial scholarships based on each student’s financial circumstances. AUW’s full scholarships cover the following expenses:

  • Tuition fees
  • Room and board
  • Course supplies
  • Primary healthcare costs
  • International travel costs

Eligibility Criteria for AUW Scholarships

AUW offers merit scholarships for students of Bangladesh students. This scholarship will be available based on their GPA in SSC and HSC exams and grades and points for A Level and IB students. Please click on the link for details.

To apply for scholarships and financial aid, candidates should submit one or more of the following required documents:

  • Application of financial assistance (Self Assessment Form)
  • Bank statements
  • Tax return documents
  • Salary document of parent(s)
  • Information from a third-party source(s) as required
  • Additional document(s) or data as the committee asks

The University will also consider the following factors of a student’s financial background:

  • Family composition or households
  • parent (s) education level
  • Job(s) of the family earning members
  • The parent(s)/guardian(s) level of income (i.e., salary, investment income, rental income, business income, total household income, etc.)
  • Any supporting member(s) of the family earnings of (i.e., siblings)
  • Number of non-earning family member dependents
  • Movable and fixed properties in terms of market value at the current rates
  • Community’s comment on the status of the family or the socio-economic condition
  • The school the student and her siblings attended before coming to AUW in terms of the educational expenses for attending those schools.
  • Socio-economic condition of the geographical area where the student’s family resides
  • Luxury items of the student and her family

On-Campus Employment or Work Study

The AUW Work Study Program is an additional initiative to assist the admitted students who have demonstrated financial need. This program allows AUW students to develop professional skills and earn wages while studying at the University. Also, this program offers the following opportunities:

  • Assists students to create a positive attitude toward work
  • Teaches students time management and good work habits skills
  • Improves students’ sense of responsibility
  • Provides valuable learning experience while doing worthwhile work
  • Peets the needs of the University in performing daily activities

Eligibility for Work Study Program

To be eligible for the Work Study program, a student should keep good academic standing and be a full-time undergraduate student, meaning enrolled in at least three 4-credit courses each semester. Students facing educational actions, like Academic Probation, are not eligible to hold a work-study position unless approved by the Director of Student Services.

Who Can Apply for Asian University for Women?

Interested students who wish to apply for the AUW Summer 2025 intake program must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed a total of 12 years of education;
  • Have proved leadership potential and commitment to work for positive social change;
  • Have a 60% mark or equivalent grade in the final examinations, including in English and mathematics exams;
  • Have proven leadership ability by engaging in extracurricular activities and public service.
  • Must not be older than 30 years

Requirements for Transfer Students

AUW encourages transfer students to apply and to be eligible for admission; prospective transfer students should:

  • Have a minimum CGPA of 2.85 from the transferring institution;
  • Have proved leadership potential and commitment to work for positive social change;
  • Have proven leadership ability by engaging in extracurricular activities and public service.
