The ABC Humane Wildlife Women In STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Academic Scholarship 2022 is now accepting applications. ABC Wildlife offers this scholarship to enhance the number of women studying and impacting the future of science, including technology, engineering, and mathematics. Urban Wildlife Manager Rebecca Fyffe, an entrepreneur who is uncommon in her sector as a female business owner, developed this scholarship. Fyffe credits her STEM experience for her business acumen and cutting-edge research-based methodologies, and she hopes for more women to be able to participate in STEM programs and science-based education.

Essay Title:

Why are you interested in science, technology, engineering, or math, and how will your studies in these subjects aid in preserving biodiversity, improving our planet’s health, or alleviating human suffering?

Award:

• The winning essay will earn a $1,000 prize, and up to nine additional students may get prizes for their submissions.
• Tuition, medical expenses, academic projects, housing, living expenses, transportation, and other education-related fees are all possible uses for the funds.

Eligibility Criteria:

• To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be enrolled in a college or university in the United States recognized by the US Department of Education.
• Applicants must study or prepare to study science, engineering, mathematics, or technology (excluding social sciences such as economics).
• The applicant is not eligible for the scholarship if ABC Wildlife, Inc. employs the applicant or the applicant’s parent/legal guardian at the time of grant.
• Before the winners are chosen, the eligibility of the finalists will be checked.
• You do not have to be a citizen of the United States to apply.
• This grant is available to women who identify as such.

• Essay response (max. 1,000 words)
• Proof of enrollment
• 1 letter to serve as an academic reference
