The National Examination Authority (NEXA) in Afghanistan under current regime has released the finalized schedule for Afghanistan’s university entrance examination [the Kankor Exam 2025 (1404 solar year)].

  Kankor Exam 2025 Schedule Announced: Key Dates and Provinces 

This year, the university entrance test will be conducted in five phases, starting from 7th Juzā (May 27, 2025) and concluding on 20th Saratān (July 10, 2025). Notably, the exam is exclusively for male students, continuing the Taliban’s restrictive education policies. 

Below is the detailed breakdown of each phase, including biometric registration dates, exam schedules, and participating provinces. 

 Phase 1: Initial Examination (7th, 8th and 9th Juzā) 

 Biometric Registration : – Dates: 5th – 7th Juzā (varies by province) 

 Exam Dates : – 7th – 9th Juzā (May 27 – 29, 2025) 

 Provinces Included 

– Maidan Wardak, Logar, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Ghazni, Paktika, Baghlan, Ghor, Bamyan, Daikundi 

 Phase 2: Secondary Examination (28th – 30th Juzā) 

 Biometric Registration  – Dates: 26th – 28th Juzā (varies by province) 

 Exam Dates  – 28th – 30th Juzā (June 17 – 19, 2025) 

 Provinces Included 

– Nangarhar, Kandahar, Nimroz, Paktia, Nuristan (East, West, Central), Laghman, Helmand, Zabul, Kunar, Khost, Farah, Uruzgan 

 Phase 3: (4th – 6th Saratān) 

 Biometric Registration  – Dates: 2nd – 4th Saratān

Exam Dates:  – 4th – 6th Saratān

 Provinces Included 

– Takhar, Jowzjan, Badghis, Kunduz, Sar-e Pol, Herat, Balkh, Faryab, Samangan, Badakhshan

 Phase 4: Kabul Exam (13th Saratān) 

 Biometric Registration  – Dates: 9-11 Saratan

 Exam Dates  – 13th Saratan

 Provinces Included  – Kabul

Phase 5: Kabul Exam (20th Saratān) 

 Biometric Registration  – Dates: 18-19 Saratan

 Exam Dates  – 20th Saratan

 Provinces Included  – all delayed or absent
