Harvard University has announced a significant expansion of its financial aid program, set to commence in the 2025-26 academic year, aiming to make education more accessible to a broader range of students.

Comprehensive Coverage for Lower-Income Families

For students from families with annual incomes of $100,000 or less, Harvard will cover all billed expenses, including tuition, housing, meals, health insurance, and travel costs. Additionally, these students will receive a $2,000 start-up grant in their first year and a $2,000 launch grant during their junior year to support their transition beyond Harvard.

Tuition-Free Education for Middle-Income Families

Students from families earning up to $200,000 annually will benefit from tuition-free education, with additional financial aid available based on individual circumstances. This expansion means that approximately 86% of U.S. families will qualify for some form of financial assistance at Harvard College.

Enhanced Support for Transitioning Students

Beyond covering educational expenses, Harvard is introducing grants to assist students in their academic journey.
