The Second Round of the Allama Iqbal Scholarship Exam for Afghan Citizens
Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Sadiq Khan, announced on Thursday that the second round of the Allama Iqbal Scholarship exam will be held on January 25th and 26th, 2025, both in person and online. Mohammad Sadiq stated that nearly 21,000 male and female applicants have registered for this round of the scholarship.
According to Sadiq Khan, Afghan students residing in Pakistan’s Quetta and Peshawar cities, as well as students from Afghanistan, will take the exam online.
Sadiq Khan further mentioned that 14,244 applicants have applied for the undergraduate program, 5,946 for the postgraduate program, and 616 for the doctoral program.
He added that three committees will conduct the exams and interviews, and the selection process will be “fair and transparent.”
Students who pass the exams will begin their preparatory term at the National University of Technology (NUTECH) and the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES FAST) in the first week of March 2025.
