60 Afghan Students Awarded “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship”

KABUL (Xinhua): March 19, At the commencement of the awarding event on Monday at Kabul University in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, 60 students were given the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship.”

In an address, Zhao Xing, the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan, stated that China is dedicated to advancing the ongoing growth of people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two nations and places a high value on collaboration in education between the two nations.

Usama Aziz, the chancellor of Kabul University, thanked China for funding scholarships for deserving Kabul University students. This will help Afghan students develop into talented adults and will also significantly advance China-Afghanistan educational cooperation.

Zhao reported that over 200 Afghan students are enrolled in the Confucius Institute at Kabul University, and that over 1,000 Afghan students are now studying in China.
