Chevening Scholarship Afghanistan reopened
Last year, the UK prestigious scholarship (Chevening Scholarship) was delayed for Afghanistan and did not open when applications for other countries opened in August 2022.
After two months of delay, the Chevening Scholarship has reopened for Afghanistan. All Afghans who reside in a third country can apply to the UK Chevening Program.
Committed to the safety and security of Afghans residing inside the country and assessing the viability of offering the Chevening Scholarship, the Chevening Committee has concluded to accept that prospective applicants who are inside Afghanistan will face serious security risks and logistical problems, so they decided to offer this scholarship for Afghans residing outside of Afghanistan.
So applicants should be legally residing in a country outside of Afghanistan where Chevening is active and running and follow the Chevening policy to return back to their country after finishing their studies.
