The UK resettle 20,000 Afghans in a Five-year scheme
The United Kingdom (UK) offers 20,000 visas for 20000 Afghan refugees in a five-year scheme. This year UK government will resettle 5000 Afghan nationals who are at risk due to the current crisis.
The UK government will welcome thousands of Afghan women, children, and others most in need under the most generous resettlement schemes. Those who have been forced to flee their home for face threats of persecution from the Taliban will be offered a route to set up home in the UK permanently.

- Who are most at risk of human rights abuses and dehumanising treatment by the Taliban
The UK government will work with stakeholders, to ensure Afghan Afghans who will be rebuilding their lives in the UK receive the support they need.
How will be the process?
The UK government is working with its international partners to develop a system to identify those most at risk and resettle them.
